Trustworthy News Indicators

We, the management of media organizations under the Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI), fully recognize that credibility and public trust are the most valuable assets of any media outlet and must be safeguarded at all times.

Therefore, we hereby express our commitment and dedication to comply with and implement these Trustworthy News Indicators as the foundation of our media governance. The indicators include:

  1. Upholding and strictly adhering to the Journalistic Code of Ethics and the Guidelines for Online Media Coverage as the main editorial work standards.

  2. Prioritizing journalistic work for the public interest.

  3. Conducting journalistic work objectively, honestly, and without engaging in plagiarism.

  4. Meeting the standards of a press company and completing the verification process required by law and Press Council regulations.

  5. Openly disclosing to readers information about the responsible parties, address, editorial and management structure, as well as company ownership.

  6. Respecting diversity, minority groups, and human rights as guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution.

  7. Not promoting or advertising prohibited products, such as narcotics, illegal drugs, illegal weapons, or smuggled goods.

  8. Not publishing or supporting acts that demonstrate or promote terrorism or racism.

  9. Producing editorial content that protects children and women who are victims of violence, bullying, pornography, sexual crimes, or gender discrimination.

  10. Providing clear and visible labeling to distinguish between news, opinion, and advertorial/sponsored/paid content.

  11. Respecting and protecting personal data and the privacy rights of readers or website visitors.
